United Airlines have taken a lot of criticism after the incident with David Dao, the customer who was violently dragged out of a plane nearly a year ago. In the process, Dao lost some teeth, got his nose broken and even suffered a concussion. Only by paying him a settle had the company avoided being sued.
This wasn’t the only occasion of United Airlines treating their passengers badly. In January the airline pulled a Colorado woman who was traveling to visit her dying mother off a flight because of a problem with her booking.
Now over 30,000 workers whom you can potentially encounter during your travels will attend a training course of “emotional intelligence”, where they will be taught how to talk with the clients, understand body language and even how to smile.
