This Monday at the Cannes Film Festival, Kristen Stewart caused a stir with her impertinent move. She allowed taking a few shots of her wearing Christan Louboutin pumps before she took them off and walked to the stage barefoot.
The former Twilight star has never concealed her negative attitude towards the red-carpet “no-flats” protocol for women.
Last year, Marie Claire reported Stewart being quite open at a roundtable discussion. “Things have to change immediately,” she said, “It’s just like you simply cannot ask me to do something that you are not asking him [to do].” She added she didn’t mind black-tie protocol but noted that there should be a choice between heels and flats for women.
Most Tweeter users supported Stewart’s rebellious act.

???????? I’d take mine off too, wearing them ALL DAY kills your feet. Why is @Festival_Cannes so difficult with this “no-flats” rule?

This "no flats – only heels" rule is absolutely ridiculous.

Others seemed to be hardly impressed.
What are y’all’s thoughts on Kristen Stewart taking her heels off in the middle of the red carpet at the Cannes festival? ?
