Spice Girls are not performing at the upcoming Prince Harry’s nuptials. But another show business top gun is taking their place.
A week ago, the rumors about Spice Girls reunion for royal wedding were put down. As TMZ reports, the iconic girl band were not invited by Prince Harry and Meghan and had no plans to perform at any part of the event. The band also admitted they haven’t rehearsed anything for it.
However, another show business big fish is said to be performing at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal nuptials.
According to TMZ, 71-year-old Sir Elton John confirmed to entertain the star-studded guest list on May 19. It is unclear, however, whether he is going to sing at the church ceremony or at the reception.
Back in March, Elton said he hadn’t received any invitation from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Still, he reportedly rearranged his concerts so as to take part in this much-anticipated event.
Previously, Sir Elton John attended Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, so he took his time before breaking the news in the interview to BBC2.
Remarkably, the declaration came exactly 21 years after Sir Elton performed his famous ballad “Candle In The Wind” at Princess Diana’s funeral. The mother of Willam and Harry was his close friend, and he supported the young princes a lot after her untimely death in a car accident in 1997.
