These artists show us that you don’t need to be skilled with your hands in order to create beautiful artwork – in fact, all of these artists use different body-parts to make art. Check out these artists’ original techniques below:
6. Marcey Hawk
Also known as Boobie Painter, Marcey is a So-Cal artist who creates abstract paintings using her breasts! Her five favourite painting methods are the ‘squish and swirl,’ the ‘nipple print,’ the ‘just the tip,’ the ‘titty twerk,’ and the ‘breast print.’
5. Leandro Granato
This artist creates paintings by taking in watercolours through his nose and then squirting them from his eyes onto canvas! That’s some very interesting physiology going on there.
4. Natalie Irish
I did a fun interview with Val's Vanity this week. Got to talk about cosmetics philosophy, drag queens, John Waters, my mother, and show my lipstick stash. Check it out! #Repost @valsvanity (@get_repost) ・・・ Anyone who can create canvases like these using cosmetics can easily call me a fan! That's why I asked artist & @natalieirish to be the latest to #ShowYourStash on the blog. Natalie creates through love. No, really, she uses kisses to create her works! She applies lipstick to her lips and then prints kisses onto the canvas to create different images.
3. Martin Sodoms
When Martin broke his neck in a diving accident in 1996, his life changed, but that didn’t mean that he was going to give up – instead he started painting with his mouth and now creates these astonishingly detailed pieces.
2. Ani K
This Indian artist was inspired to think of different ways to paint after hearing about artists who had lost the ability to paint with their hands. He paints using his tongue, and while this creates an interesting effect on the canvas it does mean that Ani does get quite sick after a creative spell!
1. Huang Guofu
Huang lost both hands and his right foot in an accident as a child and has since learned to paint using his mouth. Initially, he started painting with his right foot, but other people called this uncultured and said that he lacked elegance!
